No idea seemed too silly

The doctors saved me from a bourgeois life.
It is really very possible that I would have become a primary school teacher (like about a third of my senior year at the girls' convent school) had the first doctor album "Debil" not at least partially spoiled me as a shy puberty girl in the mid-eighties.
And made me want to do funny things with language like Farin Urlaub and Bela B.
As a child I was fascinated by the lyrics on my Mike Krüger tapes.
I got a first idea of the flexibility of the language because Krüger rhymed "Walther" with "he slams on the floor".
When my school friend Tanja recorded the doctors 'album "Debil" on cassette in seventh grade, it was a similar awakening experience: I thought doctors' songs were the greatest art of language, no idea seemed too silly, no observation too small to not to make something big out of it.
The doctors sang songs about Paul, the lifeguard, and red mini-skirts.
Often times it felt like they were hopping from verse to verse without knowing where they were going.
This jamming and lyrification of everyday life helped me through the Lower Franconian sadness.
