In Eilat and the Dead Sea, they will probably be able to open their hotels and receive tourists in the near future through an outline that will define them as a kind of tourist island.

According to the memorandum circulated by the Prime Minister's Office, anyone entering those tourist areas will have to present negative results of corona tests from the last 48 hours or alternatively prove that they have recovered from corona.

The decision regarding the opening is expected to be made this week.

Currently there are only two red cities in Israel, Eilat is defined as green and so is the Dead Sea area, it is expected that there will be more areas that will join the outline.

As part of the process of opening the tourist areas, the Israel Police will enforce the entrance to those tourist areas through checks and roadblocks and thus be able to allow maximum protection of those green areas.

Those who formulated the outline for the first time were the captains of the city of Eilat, headed by Meir Yitzhak Halevi and Eli Lankri.

As part of the outline, the hotels will be strict about the occupancy rate, entering the dining rooms, and maintaining distance and wearing masks within the conditions of the purple character that was defined during the days of Assaf Zamir, who served as Minister of Tourism.

Additional restaurants and shops will probably be allowed to open for the benefit of tourists who come to those "islands".

In the first phase, these will most likely be Eilat and the Dead Sea, and later it is possible that the Sea of Galilee area and other tourist areas in Israel will receive an opening permit.

Unemployment rates in Eilat are rising at every hotel closure and it now appears that in the near future, hotels will open and Israelis will be able to return to vacation.

At the same time, an outline was submitted for receiving foreign tourists to Eilat, according to the outline, tourists will have to present negative results for corona checks and land at Ramon Airport.

Tourists will not be able to leave Eilat during the holiday if this offer is accepted.

Israeli citizens who want to get to Eilat by flight will also be able to do so from Ben Gurion Airport, and those who want to get to Eilat by car will be able to do so in a pre-determined way where checkpoints will be set up, probably via Highway 90.

The mayor of Eilat addressed the issue in a conversation with Israel Today, "Eilat needs it urgently and I hope that the decision makers will make the right proposal and decisions. In the city. "
