WHO, record of new cases, half in Europe

(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 25 - Record of new cases of coronavirus in the world for the third consecutive day, according to data from the World Health Organization.

There have been 465,319 Covid-19 infections recorded in the last 24 hours, more than the 449,720 on Friday and 437,247 on Thursday.

In total, there are 42.3 million Covid cases in the world and almost 1.15 million people have died, of which 6,570 in the last 24 hours.

Almost half of today's new cases have been registered in Europe, which recorded a record 221,898 cases in one day.
