The Ministry of Health of the Nation reported this Monday a total of

406 deaths

from coronavirus and

11,712 new positive cases

in the last 24 hours.

The total of deaths amounted to 29,301 and that of infections, to 1,102,301.

The level of occupancy of beds in the Intensive Care Unit is 61.8% in the AMBA, while in the rest of the country it is 64%.

During Monday, 26,448 tests were carried out and since the beginning of the outbreak 2,850,102 diagnostic tests for this disease were carried out, which is equivalent to 62,809 samples per million inhabitants.

Argentina is currently the sixth country with the most confirmed cases in the world, behind the United States, India, Brazil, Russia and France.

The country is going

through the 32nd week since the quarantine was announced

, with the gradual opening of some businesses and activities in the Federal Capital and Greater Buenos Aires, and 18 provinces with isolated cities that tightened their controls.

This Monday morning the Buenos Aires Minister of Health, Fernán Quirós, affirmed that the curve of coronavirus infections in the City

"is decreasing"

, but he announced that it is necessary to work "together on how to mitigate or avoid a potential outbreak."

The official referred to the possibility of the City

going through the same outbreak situation

that Europe is going through.

"It is the most relevant issue in terms of health strategies that we will have in the coming months," he said.

"We already have to be working together on how to mitigate or avoid a potential regrowth. It has been shown in Europe that after a first curve, conditions can return to make a regrowth. We must work on that," he warned.

For his part, the Vice Minister of Health of the Province of Buenos Aires, Nicolás Kreplak, said that they already have distribution logistics in mind for when the vaccine arrives.

What deadlines do you handle?

Kreplak responded: "We are working hard so that

we have the vaccine by the end of the year and the beginning of next year,

and we start a massive campaign, a logistics that we are already preparing to vaccinate millions of people in a few months and achieve what is called herd immunity ".

In dialogue with FM Futurock, the official said that immunization will not completely eliminate the virus, but it will stop circulating "like a pandemic disease."
