(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 27 - New records for infections and victims from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours in Italy.
The positives are 21,994 (almost 5,000 more than yesterday) compared to 174,398 swabs (almost 50,000 more than yesterday).
The dead are 221, according to data from the Ministry of Health, almost doubled compared to the 141 of the previous day.
It was since May 5 that there was such a high number of deaths, then there were 236.
The total infected are now 564,778, the victims 37,700.
The remitted and healed are 271,988 (+3,362).
Eight regions have more than a thousand new cases, Lombardy in the lead with 5,036, then Campania with 2,761 and Piedmont with 2,458.
The others are Emilia-Romagna, Veneto, Lazio, Tuscany and Liguria.
Leap of patients in intensive care: there are 127 more in the last 24 hours, for a total of 1,411 people in intensive care.
In the ordinary wards there are now 13,955 patients, with an increase of 958. The currently positives have reached 255,090, 18,406 more than yesterday.
The ratio between swabs performed and new coronavirus positives found rises to 12.6%.
