Covid: record of new cases in Sweden, never so many

(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 27 - Sweden, the only country in the world that has never imposed a lockdown, registered 1,870 new cases of coronavirus in 24 hours, the highest number since the beginning of the pandemic.

    According to the Swedish Health Agency, there were many more cases in spring but were not registered due to lack of tests.

The previous record of Covid-19 cases was 1,698 at the end of June.

Coronavirus victims in Sweden are 5,918.
