Get out of your hated job and into self-employment?
For many, the financial risk is too high.
An expert reveals how you can do it anyway.
Around a quarter of all employed persons * in Germany would like to be self-employed.
This is the result of a survey carried out by the state development bank KfW in 2018.
But for many of them, the step into self-employment is associated with too high a financial risk.
After all, the rent has to be paid every month - and not just when there are orders.

Become self-employed - preferably only part-time
Business coach Suanne Brahier knows how professionals can still dare to take the step into self-employment and minimize the financial risk.
She advises
simply taking a new start step by step
- and
initially continuing
the
old, secure job part-time
, for example three days a week.
The remaining two working days can then be fully dedicated to the new job, she reveals to the news portal
Bild.de
(behind the payment barrier).
If you just want to get out of your old job, you don't have to start your own business right away.
But: "From experience this is the wish of many people", Brahier knows, "because they can live and realize themselves fully in their independence."

If self-employment fails, return to full-time employment
If the new job does not turn out to be the real thing, according to the expert, employees can relatively easily increase back
to full-time
or reorient themselves completely.
