Do you consume drinks with artificial sweeteners?

You are at increased risk for stroke and heart disease.

This conclusion was published this week by researchers from the University of Sorbonne, who followed about 105 people for six months.

These filled out a three-day report on their eating habits during this period.

The researchers divided the respondents into three groups: people who do not drink sugary drinks, light consumers and heavy consumers.

The results show that the risk of developing a disease of those who drink sugary drinks to those who consume artificial sweeteners is the same.

Research team leader Eloi Cesla said: "What emerges from our study is the fact that artificial sweeteners are not necessarily a good substitute for sugar for people who consume sugary drinks. Healthy for a person. "

It is important to note that this is not the first study in the field that points to the problems that exist in artificial sweeteners.

A study conducted about a year ago, in which 450,000 people were examined, found that heavy consumption of such beverages increases the risk of death by 26 percent within two decades.

Researchers have already pointed out in that study that increased consumption of these drinks may cause gastrointestinal, cardiovascular and cardiovascular disease.
