(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, OCTOBER 27 - Second night of protests and riots in Philadelphia, after the killing of the 27-year-old African American Walter Wallace by the police.
While a procession marched peacefully along the city streets, scenes of vandalism and shopaholics were repeated in some areas. The police department called on residents from seven districts to stay indoors because of the danger of violence. Several hundred men of the Pennsylvania National Guard were deployed in support of the forces of order at the request of the state's governor, Democrat Tom Wolf. Increased the number of agents employed to cope with protests and assaults by divandal groups of shops along the streets of the city. In the first evening of the riots, nearly a hundred arrests were made and about thirty policemen were injured.
