With regular exercise, even at home, the probability of getting sick is reduced by an average of 7%, and for some cancers it can reach over 20%.

Experts underline this on the occasion of the AIOM Foundation Day (Italian Association of Medical Oncology) 2020, dedicated to physical activity and tumors.

Stefania Gori, President of the AIOM Foundation - Many types of cancer can be prevented with exercise and the data are particularly relevant and convincing for postmenopausal breast cancer (13% risk reduction), for colon cancer (reduction of risk of 20%) and of the endometrium (risk reduction of 20-25%). It is sufficient - he clarifies - moderate physical activity for 30 minutes at least 5 days during the week ". Unfortunately, however, Italians are actually a people of lazy people, and they were even before COVID-19: 34%, experts recall, do not carry out physical activity. (HANDLE).
