(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 29 - The national collective agreements that are awaiting renewal at the end of September amount to 49 involving about 9.7 million employees, 78.8% of the total.
It communicates Istat, indicating that at the end of September there are 24 agreements in force for the economic part and they concern 21.2% of employees, about 2.6 million.
In the same month, Istat also reported, the hourly contractual wages index increased by 0.1% compared to August 2020 and by 0.5% compared to September 2019.
"Given the persistence of a large share of employees in expected renewal, also in the third quarter of 2020, the growth in contractual wages on an annual basis remains contained (+ 0.5%), slowing slightly compared to the previous period.
The stagnation of the negotiation activity was interrupted by the renewal of three contracts in the manufacturing sector, but the uncertainty regarding the evolution of the economic situation and the progressive weakening of inflation (negative for five months), to which it looks to fix the table increases, negatively affecting the closure of the numerous negotiations in progress ", is the comment of Istat.
