Halloween is canceled - because of Corona?
Not quite.
The operators of a haunted house near San Francisco have switched to the pandemic and also drive-thru operation.
Scary houses are very popular in the USA - especially on Halloween, of course.
In normal times, visitors move around the attraction on foot or on all fours in order to be scared.
Like a ghost train, only without a train.
Many of the houses had to close because of the risk of Covid infection.
Not so with Emirates Pirates.
After six weeks of renovation, the operators had turned their house into a ghost car.
White stripes mark the route and walking pace is required.
The gruesome actors only approach from the passenger side for safety reasons.
The cost of the scary spectacle: $ 95 per car.
