Lorenzo Sonego qualified for the final of the ATP 'Erste Bank Open' tournament in Vienna, in which he entered as a 'lucky loser' (he had lost in the last qualifying round with Slovenian Aljaz Bedene, but was rescued for forfeits by Schwartzman and de Minaur) by beating Britain's Daniel Evans 6-3 6-4 in today's semifinal.
In the final Sonego, who yesterday had beaten the n.1 in the world Novak Djokovic, will face the Russian Andrey Rublev, seeded number 5, who in the other semifinal prevailed on the South African Kevin Anderson for abandonment after the match was on 6- 4 4-1.
