After weeks of events without schooling, the children returned to school today (Sunday), and as expected, the return raises many concerns, both among the parents and among the children.
Developmental psychologist Tzachi Netter was once again a guest on his and journalist Paz Hasdai's "Talk to me Abala" podcast, and the two analyzed the feelings that arise.
"Decision making does not have the cumulative damage to children," warns the psychologist, "You can not play with it, someone is going to pay a very large price. Children in horror from the return. There is a whole breed of children who prefer this reality (of the zoom and home ...), at the moment "It's moving away, it's much more threatening. This time it seems far away, and much harder. Kids prefer to stay home. They find themselves in a comfortable place with the screen and zoom.
And maybe the parents react with too much hysteria, and the kids actually adapt?
What is the thing that most destabilizes the corona period?
How should a parent feel separated from his child without having any idea where he is going?
And why do the education system and the state neglect the child's psychology and mental processes?
Listen to the conversation.
