Here is the program for November.

NETFLIX

" Can you hear me ?

", season 2

Attention, nugget!

" Can you hear me ?

Has remained discreet in France.

But this Quebec series by Florence Longpré, awarded at the Séries Mania festival, hits hard.

We meet Ada, Fabiola, Carolanne, three life-to-death friends who try as best they can to get out of misery and hardship.

Between alcohol, sexual and psychological violence, poverty, their daily lives are far from rosy.

But no miserability here.

Girls are fighters and set the bar for friendship very high.

The second season, now available, darker than the first, is just as poignant and exudes a rare humanity.

We also love the flowery dialogue and this nice accent, which requires subtitles.

It's rock, ultra-rhythmic and poetic.

We laugh and we cry.

Many.

A real favorite.

Available the 1st.

That of Margaret Thatcher, who occupied 10 Downing Street with an iron fist for eleven and a half years.

This is to say if this new season of "The Crown", which takes place very precisely between 1977 to 1990, is eagerly awaited.

This fourth season will also be the occasion to see one last time in action the actors Olivia Colman, Tobias Menzies or Helena Bonham Carter, who will in turn pass the baton to a generation of older actors for next season.

We will watch more particularly the arrival of Gillian Anderson (ex-star of "X-Files) in the role of Margaret Thatcher, and the young Emma Corrin in Lady Di.

"Virgin River", season 2

Only a year after the first season, the sequel to this romantic American series is already approaching.

We find the heroine Mel Monroe, played by Alexandra Breckenridge, the nurse who left everything for Virgin River, a city lost in the middle of nowhere, in California.

Very quickly, the young woman realized that it was not so easy to start from scratch in a small town, especially when you drag painful memories.

Difficult to have a lot of information on the unfolding of this second season as the platform cultivates the mystery.

But the teaser reveals a few themes like "engagement, babies, heartache and even murder".

Decidedly, the coveted quiet life is not yet at the rendezvous for Mel Monroe.

Available on 27.

"Vikings", season 5, part 2

While the series "Vikings" must end at the end of its sixth season, of which the final ten episodes are still pending, Netflix will put online the second half of the previous season.

There we find the sons of Ragnar more torn than ever, as the youngest and cripple Ivar declares himself king of Kattegat.

The elder Björn, his mother Lagertha and his other brother Ubbe are then forced to take refuge in foreign lands.

This fantastic warrior saga multiplies alliances and betrayals to always better surprise.

Great spectacle and great art.

"Animal Kingdom", season 4

Everything is always very complicated with the Cody, a family of criminals.

The matriarch, nicknamed Smurf, still wants to run affairs with an iron fist, but her sons and grandson are increasingly wary and inclined to take their own fate into their own hands.

In this fourth season, flashbacks reveal for the first time the youth of Smurf.

As for the present, a newcomer appears: Angela, former friend of the deceased daughter of Smurf.

She is played by Emily Deschanel, former headliner of the "Bones" series.

A high season.

Available the 1st.

"Heirs of the Night", season 2

The first season of this fantastic series aimed at a preteen audience had struggled to convince us.

It is about the survival of the last vampire clans, whose fate rests in the hands of their youngest heirs.

This saga, adapted from the books of German novelist Ulrike Schweikert, is sweetly horrifying.

Available the 1st.

"Duncanville"

Original novelty for Amazon Prime Video which offers here an animated comedy for adults.

"Duncanville" was co-created by actress and screenwriter Amy Poelher (former mainstay of "Saturday Night Live", lead role in "Parks and Recreation", available on Salto) as well as Mike and Julie Scully, who both worked as screenwriter for "the Simpsons".

Beautiful people therefore for this fiction about a 15-year-old teenager, his parents and his two sisters.

Available on 6.

"Motherland: Fort Salem"

Three young women with magical powers take an oath of allegiance to the American government and join Fort Salem to undergo special military training that will allow them to join the witch army.

Objective: to protect the United States from its enemies.

This fantastic series and its heroines with strong characters are very lacking in subtlety to hit the mark and get locked in a rather confused scenario.

Available on 20.

EDITOR'S RATING: 2/5

"Vikings", season 5, part 2

The same day as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video unveils the second part of season 5 of "Vikings".

Ten more episodes to see the sons of debut hero Ragnar Lothbrok tear each other apart.

Available on 29.

MYCANAL

"Possessions"

On the evening of her wedding in Israel, Natalie, a young Frenchwoman, is accused of having killed her husband.

A duo of police officers is in charge of the case while Karim, member of the French consulate, comes to support the young woman.

One thing leading to another, he too will try to clarify a story that is at least obscure.

Sometimes there are things that cannot be explained, and "Possessions" is full of them.

It's even quite fascinating as the writers have taken such pleasure in muddling the waters, skilfully entangling the oddities that almost no character seems free.

Except Karim (Reda Kateb), perhaps, caught in the heart of this story which borders on insanity.

Available on 2.

EDITOR'S RATING: 4.5 / 5

"Moonbase 8"

While the United States plans to set up a camp on the moon, astronauts in training at NASA are living in different lunar base simulators to prove their skills and hope to be the next selected.

"Moonbase 8" follows the team of one of these bases which must face many difficulties, between a lack of water, the presence of a ranger who loots the equipment, or one of them who get sick.

Created and performed by Fred Armisen, John C. Reilly and Tim Heidecker, this sympathetic comedy lacks a bit of bite, however.

Available on 9.

EDITOR'S RATING: 3.5 / 5

"This Way Up"

Aine is a young woman teacher of English for foreigners.

She has just come out of a rest center after a nervous breakdown and seeks comfort from her older sister.

Despite his good humor, his impertinence and his sarcasm, Aine still suffers from a deep fragility.

This dramatic comedy plays perfectly on her dark British humor and is backed by a superb cast: Aisling Bea, creator of the series, also plays her heroine, Sharon Horgan ("Catastrophe") plays her big sister, Chris Geere ("You ' re The Worst ”) his ex, and Tobias Menzies (“ The Crown ”,“ Outlander ”) his new employer.

Available on 9.

EDITOR'S RATING: 4/5

"The Alienist: The Angel of Darkness"

And here is the second part of the episodes of the series adapted from the bestseller by Caleb Carr.

In late 19th century New York, the viewer finds the trio of actors Daniel Brühl (“Good Bye, Lenin!”), Luke Evans (“Clash of the Titans”) and the excellent Dakota Fanning (“La Guerre worlds ”).

All, in their own way, investigate a serial baby killer, as an innocent mother has just been executed in the electric chair.

Beyond the impeccable reconstruction of the time, these eight new episodes will hold spectators fans of thrillers in suspense.

A dive into murky waters, with sometimes violent sequences, in the beginnings of the profession of

profiling.

Available on 19.

EDITOR'S NOTE: 3/5

"Patria"

Produced by the HBO Europe channel in Spain, this new series, adapted from Fernando Aramburu's bestseller, describes in detail the life of two families opposed by the political conflict that has torn the Basque Country apart.

The action begins with the announcement of the ceasefire by ETA, after 43 years of conflict.

True phenomenon of the Iberian television re-entry (and already released simultaneously in 20 countries), this fiction has aroused controversy in Spain, because of its still hot topic.

A dark and exciting immersion in those years of lead.

A fine adaptation without Manichaeism.

OCS

"Industry"

After "Devils", OCS plunges once again into the world of finance.

“Industry” follows ambitious young people who join an investment bank in London in order to prove their worth as traders.

The first episode of this fierce and highly cynical series is directed by Lena Dunham (creator and actress of "Girls").

However, impossible to get attached to the characters and, between the multiplication of uninteresting sex scenes and the technical aspect of frankly hermetic finance, "Industry" left us unmoved.

Available on 10.

EDITOR'S RATING: 1.5 / 5.

"His Dark Materials: At the Crossroads of Worlds", season 2

The excellent adaptation of the books by Philip Pullman is back for eight new episodes.

This second season will see the young heroine Lyra, bereaved by the death of her friend Roger, explore new worlds in the footsteps of Lord Asriel, her father, who opened a breach between the universes.

She will also meet Will, a teenager from a reality much closer to ours, without magic.

Available on 17.

"Cheyenne and Lola"

From the first minutes, the series "Cheyenne and Lola" develops a modern western atmosphere.

The two heroines are young women in galley whose destinies should never have crossed.

But when Cheyenne, a cleaning lady, stumbles upon Lola, a young con artist, next to her employer's body, they are bound by an unlikely criminal chain.

The duo formed by actresses Veerle Baetens and Charlotte Le Bon is formidable: we follow them in their adventures without hesitation.

DISNEY +

"Once Upon A Time In Wonderland"

While "Once Upon A Time", in which fairy tale characters lived in our world, had seven seasons, the adventure was much shorter for its spinoff series "Once Upon A Time in Wonderland".

The latter, unpublished in France and therefore available for the first time on Disney +, mixes the worlds of "Alice in Wonderland" and "Aladdin", in particular through the figure of the wicked Jafar.

Much less successful than its predecessor in terms of graphics and struggling to find its way in terms of the scenario, "Wonderland" was canceled after only 13 episodes.

Available on 20.

SALTO

"Four Weddings and a Funeral"

Based on one of the most legendary romantic comedies in cinema, the series “Four Weddings and a Funeral” set the bar very high.

Unfortunately, in this new version where the cast shows great diversity, not much of the original work remains.

We are witnessing a fairly conventional plot: a young woman falls under the spell of a stranger during a chance meeting at the airport, before realizing that he is the fiancé of her best friend whom she comes to join in London.

We really like Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei in "Game of Thrones"), who lends her features to the heroine, but the fairly agreed ensemble is sorely lacking in originality and fantasy.

Available the 1st.

EDITOR'S RATING: 2.5 / 5

"All American"

Inspired by the true story of American football player Spencer Paysinger, the "All American" series follows the journey of a young hope in the sport.

While playing for his high school team in an inner city Los Angeles, Spencer (whose last name is James in fiction) catches the eye of the prestigious Beverly Hills high school coach.

By agreeing to change establishment, the young hero discovers a world very far from his own, which is not really ready to welcome him with open arms.

Despite the facilities and twists that make you roll your eyes, "All American" is an effective teen series.

But remains very far from the momentum and power of "Friday Night Lights", which also took place in the world of high school football.

Available the 1st.

"A French Village", seasons 1 to 7

The integral is now available.

This cult French television series created by Frédéric Krivine, Philippe Triboit and Emmanuel Daucé, the first episode of which was broadcast on France 3 in 2009, immerses the viewer in the period of the German Occupation in a small sub-prefecture, very close to the demarcation line ... A story, which over seven seasons (72 episodes), runs from 1940 to the Liberation.

Available the 1st.

EDITOR'S RATING: 3/5

"Speakerine"

The series features the presenters of the 1960s in a very neat period setting.

A thriller in the form of a plea for women, and viewers who expect to laugh with Marie Gillain, Guillaume de Tonquédec and Grégory Fitoussi, the three main actors, are going to be disappointed.

"Speakerine" is to be classified on the side of thrillers with, from the first scene, a corpse, which provokes an investigation behind the scenes of television.

Why on earth has the best friend of the daughter of the most famous announcer and her husband, the news director of public television, been found dead?

Available the 1st.

"Nip / Tuck", seasons 1 to 6

The first big success of Ryan Murphy, prolific creator of series (“Glee”, “American Horror Story”, “The Politician”, “Hollywood”, “Ratched”…) is rediscovered with delight.

When it was first broadcast, in 2003, the series caused a stir.

Following the lives of two cosmetic surgeons, the fiction reveals close-up liposuction, blood profusion, unscrupulous heroes and repeated sex scenes.

A feast for the public and the critics who revel in this audacity, also benefiting from a quality aesthetic setting.

Certainly, over six seasons and 100 episodes, “Nip / Tuck” has had its ups and downs, but it has seen an impressive number of guests, including Catherine Deneuve!

Available in November (date unknown)
