(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 01 - Foreign pilgrims have been admitted to the Great Mosque of Mecca for the first time since the beginning of the restrictions for the coronavirus pandemic seven months ago.

About 10 thousand faithful from various countries were able to carry out the pilgrimage to Umrah after three days of self-isolation on arrival in Saudi Arabia.
In the country there have so far been 347,282 cases of Covid and 5,402 deaths.
