If necessary, the lockdown in England could be extended beyond 2 December.

Michael Gove, minister in the Johnson cabinet office, told Sky News.

Gove, in the aftermath of the tightening announced by the premier, explained that the contagion data will be examined in November, with the hope that the restoration of the national blockade "significantly reduces" the rate of infection.

But when asked if an extension of the lockdown is possible, Gove said yes.

Johnson explained yesterday that he expects the reintroduction of the local lockdown system after December 2.

The crackdown in England - from next Thursday pubs, restaurants, gyms, non-essential shops and there is an indication not to leave the house except for basic needs - has caused discontent among the Tory majority.

Former Conservative leader, Iain Duncan Smith, accused the prime minister of "giving in to science advisers".

    Also perplexed by production activities.

For Carolyn Fairbairn, general manager of the Confederation of British Industry, "for many companies a second national bloc marks the beginning of a bleak winter."

The government has also received criticism for opposite reasons, namely for having intervened too late, despite the fact that experts had long suggested a progressive worsening of the situation.

Morocco prepares for total lockdown

- Morocco prepares for a new total confinement.

Sources close to the royal house confirm that King Mohammed VI has given the go ahead for the lockdown to be ordered, which will have to be announced by the government next week.

A confinement - according to what is learned - of one month, which is further renewable, based on the epidemiological trend.

Bars, restaurants and markets will be closed, with the exception of food markets and supermarkets.

Clashes in Spain against restrictions

- Dozens of arrests in Spain during the second consecutive night of clashes between law enforcement and protesters who took to the streets to protest the new restrictions passed by the government to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

In some cities there have been looting and vandalism.

The biggest riots broke out in Madrid, where dozens of protesters shouted "freedom!"

setting fire to garbage bins and setting up makeshift barricades on the city's main thoroughfare, Gran Via.

Stones and smoke bombs were thrown at the police.

According to the emergency services, twelve people, including three police officers, were slightly injured in the clashes, 32 were arrested.
