If Mexico needs or requires help to eradicate these monsters, the United States stands by, willing and able to do the job quickly and effectively.

Tweet from US President Donald Trump on November 5, 2019

On December 5, 2019, two men met in a conference room at the Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah's capital.

Adrián LeBarón, 58 years old, Mormon, had traveled from Mexico City.

Two of his daughters and a son-in-law accompanied him.

Michael Elsner, 48 years old, attorney at Motley Rice, one of the most famous law firms in the USA, was waiting for him with two lawyers, specialists in Mexican law.

It was a cross-border case.

A month earlier, Sicarios, contract killers for the Juarez cartel, had killed three women and six children in northern Mexico.

LeBarón's daughter Rhonita and four of his grandchildren were among the victims.

Their bodies were so charred that the forensic scientists initially didn't know how to take DNA samples.
