VIDEO. A bookseller after the closing of the book shelves of supermarkets: "The injustice has been repaired"

2020-11-01T11:05:44.520Z

This bookseller from Le Mans was opposed to the opening of book shelves in supermarkets and department stores. With others, he was heard.

His fight, Samuel Chauveau won.

That supermarkets as well as Fnac could continue to sell books during this second confinement while independent bookstores are forced to lower the curtain, he could not support it.

He then took the lead in a sling of booksellers from Le Mans by launching a cry alert on social networks.

On Friday, he left the doors of his “Bulle” bookstore open, in protest.

The bookseller, along with others, won their case. The next day, Fnac and the hypermarkets had to close their book shelves. Instead of shutting down his competitors, Samuel would have preferred independent bookstores to be allowed to open, but he still feels that “the injustice has been fixed”.
