The channels and platforms give a large place to programs devoted to the President of the United States, who is seeking a second term this

Our TV programs are on American time.

On the occasion of the presidential election in the United States, this Tuesday, November 3, channels and platforms are giving a large place to documentaries on Donald Trump.

His golden childhood, his successes and setbacks as a businessman, his eventful love life or even his political ambitions ... Adored or hated, the outgoing president is in any case a real character whose life is so crazy that it made be born a plethora of documentaries and even series.

On the cathodic level, his democratic opponent Joe Biden, whose life is however also very romantic, does not compete.

Selection of essentials.

"Trump: an American dream": an organic without concession

NETFLIX.

Rarely has a documentary seemed so fascinating to us, as the life of the current tenant of the White House seems unreal.

This four-part British series vividly traces Donald Trump's journey from his golden childhood to his accession to the presidency of the United States.

We discover with the help of archive images and testimonies the route of this turbulent child who bullies his brother.

Already a little mean… We see him hoist himself, an adult, on the shoulders of his father, a real estate tycoon.

Never satisfied, Trump accumulates debts to quench his thirst for luxurious buildings.

And overtake the dad.

His ferocity is revealed in his reality TV where he praises or fires a candidate with relish.

The episode on his relationship with his ex-wife Ivana stands out as the most chilling: deceit and excess of all kinds and at all times.

Nothing equals his domestic and marital cynicism.

As for the one on his debut in politics, it resonates in a funny way.

Footage shows Barack Obama mocking him at a ceremony well before the 2016 election. Trump wears the mask.

Laughs best who laughs last.

"Trump against the FBI": the standoff

FRANCE.TV.

This is the documentary to see alongside “The Comey Rule” which has just started on Canal +, a fiction which tells from the inside the tug of war between the FBI and Trump which led to the ousting of the boss of the federal police.

The documentary broadcast on France 5 and now available on the replay of France.tv and the new platform Salto recounts the dangerous links between the current President of the United States and the federal office, showing how the latter, despite investigations and alerts from these members, turned a blind eye to links between the businessman and the Italian and Russian mafias.

Small arrangements between friends which allowed the one who was not yet president to enrich himself through huge real estate programs.

The film dissects how the FBI chief investigated the Hillary Clinton email affair during the 2016 campaign before being disembarked when he became interested in Trump-Russia ties.

Is he a thief?

Is he a cheater?

Is he above the law?

"The Factory of the Lie": among the conspirators

FRANCE.TV.

“The Factory of Lies” is interested in how “fake news” can change the fate of a country, such as Brazil, where Bolsonaro, violently homophobic, has flooded social networks with false information.

The film begins with a dive into a pro-Trump conspiratorial America that associates Democrats with evil pedophiles through the "Pizza gate."

A theory according to which Hillary Clinton and her friends are part of an alleged network which abuses children hidden ... in a pizzeria.

All of this could make you smile if this "fake news" hadn't come a long way, without being formally denied by the President of the United States.

"Trump, America outraged?"

: the art of staging

FRANCE.TV.

These three episodes are cold in the back, like the one entitled "Reality TV at the White House".

Relatives of the American president testify to his whimsical and dangerous character.

Trump would have chosen the members of his government based on their looks and eloquence.

Very quickly, the TV man apparently ran his government and politics like a TV show.

A former adviser present during the meeting with the North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un said that Trump was only obsessed with making a theatrical show.

One video, above all, marks the spirit: that of the car-ram of a neo-Nazi, sympathizer of Trump.

The American president has never strongly condemned the violence of these white supremacists.

We learn a lot behind the scenes of his mandate, and if the whole thing sometimes lacks rhythm, it is edifying.

For good or for bad, the main

thing

is to take center stage ...

MYCANAL.

Mini-series in four episodes, “The Comey Rule” looks back on James Comey's career in the direction of the FBI.

Appointed in September 2013 by Barack Obama, he had to lead the investigation of Hillary Clinton's emails which hit the headlines from 2015 and was accused of having favored the election of Donald Trump.

Who will however fire him after very difficult relations.

Jeff Daniels is remarkable as the hero.

Brendan Gleeson plays Donald Trump, who only appears in episodes 3 and 4. A difficult exercise as the American president is a living caricature, but he transmits his personality perfectly without filter.
