.- In February, I was about to embark on a British tour for which I had left my home a few days in advance.
I stopped in Helsinki, where I found a studio in which to play around with some rhythmic ideas I had in mind.
I had very little material, I was just with a very lively young sound engineer.
In three days we had completed several pieces of character.
The next day, I flew to Paris where my pianist Steve Nieve's birthday was being celebrated, but also his French citizenship.
