Scientists from the Universities of Cologne and Bonn found in their study that people with a very specific characteristic earn more money on average than others.
And this quality is called:
patience.

Why do patient people make more money than others?
"Hurry with a while" or "Rome wasn't built in a day": Although many proverbs praise patience as a valuable quality, patient people are not necessarily equated with successful people or even "high earners".
And yet this inconspicuous ability seems to be worthwhile in the long run, as the study shows.
According to the researchers, people who are more patient would
save more on average, be more productive and invest more time in education
.
Patience is particularly crucial for productivity, which in turn determines income.
In contrast, older studies show that impatient people would often delay their work, consume drugs or write poorer grades.

40 percent of the differences in per capita income
between different countries.
