The rapper, who voted "for the first time in his life" by putting his own name on the ballot, won less than one percent of the vote.

An expected result but all the same bitter.

If he hoped to be touched by divine grace to win the US presidential election, Kanye West must have suspected that for this year, it would be complicated.

This night, the independent candidate of the "Birthday party" did not cross the 1% of the vote.

But it is already preparing for 2024.

On Twitter, the rapper posted a photo of himself with the map of the United States in the background, along with the words "KANYE 2024".

Kanye West has never hidden nurturing more hope for the next presidential election.

“Let's see if the appointment is for 2020 or for 2024, because it's God who appoints the president.

If it's 2020, then I would have been appointed by God, ”

he told

Forbes

in July.

Before that, he even said he had a "100% chance of winning" in 2024.

A few hours before the start of the count, he proudly announced his intention to vote:

“God is so good.

Today, I am voting for the first time in my life for the presidency of the United States, and it is for someone whom I really trust… me ”

.

Kanye West then followed up with a long series of posts including two videos showing his ballot paper and the moment he inserts it into the electronic ballot box.

Between a campaign led under the sign of God and great difficulties in running in all the States, this year's election will have allowed him all the same to take his first steps in politics and to practice for a second attempt.
