In his honor: Snake Python of the Negev was documented in Nahal Ramon

A Negev-type snake was documented yesterday in Nahal Ramon, looking for prey in a burrow it encountered along the way.

It is not known exactly what he encountered in the burrow, but it is still rare to see the formidable reptile belonging to the viper family

A snake of the Negev type was documented yesterday (Wednesday) in Nahal Ramon in the Negev, when it crawled and entered a burrow it found in the area, in search of prey.

Yotam Hoffman, from the Har Hanegev Field School of the Society for the Protection of Nature, documented the snake entering a burrow, looking for a rodent or other prey.

Rye also feeds on birds and even lizards.

The Negev python is a venomous snake whose bite attacks the nervous system, and it belongs to the viper family.

Its color is yellow with brown spots and the tip of its tail is black.

Its head is triangular in shape and above its eyes protrude a pair of horns made of scales weighing the snake about half a kilogram in total.

The Negev peony, whose brother is called "Persian peony", can be found mainly in the sands of Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and of course Israel.
