NAPLES - If you loved the tormented and intense friendship story of Lila Cerullo and Elena Greco, the two girls protagonists of the first novel of Elena Ferrante's quadrilogy, or its television transposition created by Saverio Costanzo, you can participate in the literary walk among the emblematic places of the successful saga, organized by the cultural association Insolitaguida.

Sunday 8 November, at 10.30 am, we walk to discover the symbolic places of the Ferrante saga and the television sets that have made the story of the friendship of the two girls famous all over the world, from childhood in a district of the Neapolitan suburbs of the 1950s until today.

The guided and narrated tour starts from the heart of Naples, Piazza del Municipio, passes through the beautiful Piazza del Plebiscito, where Lila and Lenù come across "Naples well" for the first time, and arrives at the most recurring place of adult life di Lila, Piazza dei Martiri, where her husband's shoe factory is located.

The two protagonists live in the Luzzatti district, a popular and non-tourist neighborhood in the Gianturco area, on the eastern outskirts of Naples and which in the fiction was rebuilt in Caserta, in the former Saint-Gobain factory.

Not far from the Neapolitan district there is the underpass that leads to the long avenue that leads to the port, crossed by the girls when they reach the sea for the first time.

Lila buys the wedding dress in one of the shops on Corso Umberto I while Elena, a book lover, can be found in Port'Alba among the stalls of new and used texts.

It is a must to walk along the Caracciolo seafront to Castel dell'Ovo or, as Elena does with her father, stop and observe the majesty of Vesuvius on the horizon.

Finally there is the Posillipo hill, where Lila marries Stefano: here you can stroll in the Virgiliano park or take the road that leads to the window of Marechiaro, a panoramic point not to be missed.

During the tour a guide will reveal and tell curiosities and anecdotes also related to the popular and enigmatic writer, who with "The brilliant friend" and the other 3 novels of the saga - "History of the new surname", "History of those who flee and who remains "and" Story of the Lost Child "- has climbed the charts around the world.

For organizational and above all security reasons, it is advisable to book on the website insolitaguida.it (ANSA).
