(ANSA) - ROME, NOVEMBER 05 - Blocking hate speech online through the creation of groups of young people, appropriately trained, who play the role of 'hate breakers'. With this objective was born Hit - Hate InterrupterTeams - the European project presented today to the Chamber which provides young people with the knowledge and means necessary to stem an increasingly widespread phenomenon that often leads to racial, homophobic and sexist hatred. Among the associations of the nine European partners that promote the project - reads a note - for Italy there is Mulab, a non-profit association that carries out research, promotion and training activities in the cultural industry sector. The data is dramatic: since the beginning of the epidemic, traffic to sites that incite hatred and discrimination has increased by 200% around the world. "We must raise the awareness of young people on human rights - explains Enzo Pellegrini, Mulab president - During the epidemic the phenomenon has spread because a person who is incapacitated obviously has to find an outlet".
