(ANSA) - NEW YORK, NOV 05 - New revolution in Hollywood.

Lashana Lynch will get the title of Agent 007 licensed to kill in 'No Time To Die', the 25th film in the series dedicated to James Bond, the character inspired by the novels of Ian Fleming.

She confirms this herself in an interview with Harper's Bazaar.

LaLynch is in the film alongside Daniel Craig as Nomi, a CIA agent.

No Time To Die, directed by Cary Fukunaga, will be set up in April 2021 after having suffered several postponements due to the pandemic.

So far the role has been a male prerogative, starting with the legendary Sean Connery who has just passed away. Lynch, 32, born in London, is a black actress and was immediately the object of web hatred after news of the future role spread. In the interview with Harper's Bazaar she said she was forced to unsubscribe from social media, however she reassured herself by repeating that she was part of a moment that will be revolutionary.
