A 14-year-old who has recovered from a corona has been diagnosed with a "Terem" blue spot in pericarditis, a rare complication of the disease, and is now hospitalized in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

The boy, a 14-year-old resident of Beitar Illit, complained of chest pains on Thursday, and after being examined by a doctor at the HMO, was released to his home.

However, the pain did not stop, and on Saturday, after his condition worsened, he turned to the "pre-emergency medicine" center.

Noisy Mahmoud, a local paramedic, said that during the interrogation it became clear that the boy had recently recovered from corona, so he decided to perform an ECG, which resulted in symptoms of pericarditis - inflammation of the pericardium.

Noisy immediately called an emergency vehicle, which took the boy to Shaare Zedek Hospital, and he is now hospitalized in the hospital's intensive care unit.

Dr. David Zlotnik, the medical director of Terem - Urgent Medicine: "We are witnessing more and more complications that are being discovered among those recovering from the disease. Pericarditis is one of the medical cases that has been reported, and if the disease is not diagnosed in time - it can be life-threatening."

Dr. Zlotnik advises those suffering from symptoms of chest pain in general and recovering from corona in particular, not to linger at home, and go immediately to the emergency room or emergency centers.
