Dr. Sharon Elrai-Price, head of the public health services at the Ministry of Health, warns tonight (Sunday) that the infection rate, which is approaching 1 (currently stands at 0.95), indicates that the achievements of the second closure are diminishing, and that Israel is at a dangerous crossroads. For a massive increase in infection.
"We are 'on the scales' in terms of this epidemic," says Dr. Elrai-Price. "It will not be long before we move to infection coefficient 1 - and the epidemic will spread. Everyone has to take care of themselves and their community. Only by mutual guarantee will we take care of each other."
Against the background of the opening of street shops, Price-Elrai warns: "I call on the people of Israel to be careful. There is no policeman in every store. Four shoppers are allowed in every store. Do not gather. We need to see how the situation is maintained without losing control of the plague."
