(ANSA) - BARI, 08 NOV - "In the next few hours" a request for the withdrawal or revision of the regional ordinance will be formalized by the Ministry of Education, taking into account the provisions of the Prime Minister's Decree of last November 3 for the so-called 'orange' areas , Including Puglia, to protect the right to education, school autonomy, as well as the principles underlying the National Education System ".
This is what the Ministry of Education affirms in a note regarding the ordinance with which the Puglia Region establishes that students can choose whether to carry out elections in presence (after the pronouncement of the Tar of Bari which has in fact 'reopened' elementary and middle school) or continue with distance learning that must be guaranteed by the educational institutions.
"The Ministry - reads the note - is receiving numerous reports from the Apulian school community and families who show confusion and disorientation", for this reason it is necessary "to avoid an unsustainable conflict between schools and families, fueled by indications that encourage unilateral choices by the latter 'activation of distance learning ".
The Minister adds that "this year more than 510 million euros have already been allocated to schools in Puglia, including building funds and emergency resources", and stresses that "we have worked tirelessly for a return to safety and to prepare the school system to the eventual return to remote digital teaching ".
But "in Puglia, to date - concludes Viale Trastevere - 61.94% of the resources allocated to the total have been spent. As for the resources for rents, rentals and space adaptation, only 42% of the local entities benefiting from the Puglia Region that have been authorized have activated rental and rental agreements to guarantee the distancing imposed by the Covid emergency ".
