While the Housing Ministry had remained elusive on the issue, a clarification was added on November 6 on its site, as BFMTV spotted.
“It is still possible to move, sign your lease, hand over the keys and make an inventory.
And this will be possible throughout the duration of the confinement, ”indicates the ministry of Emmanuelle Wargon.
With this important clarification for the last four days: "To help you, it is authorized to ask for help from acquaintances within the limit of six people maximum".
Moving companies also remain authorized.
A recent change in doctrine
Volunteer movers will have to tick the box "compelling family reason" on their certificate and will have to bring, as proof, a document from "the moving company, a deed of sale or your new lease can serve as proof. », Adds the website of the ministry.
This change in doctrine is recent since, as reported by the BFMTV real estate unit, when the reconfinement was announced, the Ministry of Housing had indicated to the site that gatherings, even in the event of moving, were prohibited.

A rule that has therefore evolved in a week, but does not differ so much from that enacted during the first confinement.
In March, the Interior Ministry announced that the moves were "permitted" but "limited to strict needs" and had to be "postponed whenever necessary".
The executive, which required a maximum of five contacts per day, had thus left the possibility for the help of a few friends to carry the boxes, always with a certificate.
