Coronavirus in France: 466 deaths and more than 20,000 contaminations in 24 hours

41,459 people have died from Covid-19 since the start of the epidemic in France, including 28,944 in hospitals.


Some 22,180 new cases of Covid-19 have been identified in the past 24 hours in France on Monday.

The day before, this figure rose to 20,155 people tested positive, against more than 40,000 to 60,000 the previous days.

3,168 additional people were hospitalized over the same period

The health authorities also record 466 additional deaths due to Covid-19, against 551 on Monday.

In total, 40,987 people have died from Covid-19 since the start of the epidemic in France, including 28,481 in hospitals.

472 additional people were admitted to intensive care for a total number of patients which stood at 4,736 on Tuesday, against 4,685 on Monday, for 6,400 beds currently available (but also for other pathologies).

In total, more than 31,477 patients are currently hospitalized in France for a SARS-CoV-2 infection.
