Marta C. Gonzalez is a former prima ballerina with Alzheimer's disease.
In 1967, she presented the famous "Swan Lake" in New York in 1967.
Fifty years later, in 2019, the old lady suddenly remembers the choreography, hearing the music of Tchaikovsky.
An extraordinary moment that moved Internet users.
It is the Spanish association "Musica para despertar" (translation: music to awaken) which makes her listen and which films her.
"Music and the ability to feel emotions are the last attributes that are damaged by this degenerative disease" explains the association on its site.
Marta passed away in 2019. But the association, which just published the video, has launched a crowdfunding campaign to help patients live better lives thanks to music.
