"The Crown": royal

We have waited so long, this fourth season which sees Lady Diana and Margaret Thatcher appear.

We will suffer, episode after episode, in empathy with the premiere and its disillusionment with a not so charming prince.

We are going to have fun, in all antipathy, with this Iron Lady played by Gillian Anderson ("X-Files"), whom many will love to hate.

"The Crown" made us love Prince Charles, so human in season 3. Season 4 capsizes us on all sides, in a stormy sea, from dark hearts to a dark period in England.

With the queen as captain of a boat which takes in water from all sides.

The event series - the word, for once, is not overused - holds its rank, royal, of testimony on the monarchy, but also of the time, with the taste of a small madeleine that the not so young of between us will soak in a "cup of tea" to see the 1980s reappear, more real than life.

EDITOR'S RATING: 5/5

“The Crown”

, American-British series by Peter Morgan, with Olivia Colman, Tobias Menzies, Gillian Anderson, Ema Corrin… Season 4, 10 episodes of approximately 1 hour each.

"Dash & Lily": effective

Taken from the American bestseller for young adults, "Dash & Lily's Book of Dares", the plot follows two teenagers (Austin Abrams and Midori Francis) who challenge each other with the help of a little red book found in a bookstore, during the holiday season in New York.

The two lovebirds then embark on a kind of role-playing game in the city, so present in the series that it becomes a character in its own right.

This new Netflix production, produced by Shawn Levy, of "Stranger Things," will cheer you up on those long winter evenings.

Admittedly, its eight episodes do not revolutionize the codes of the genre, but they are rather effective, holding the viewer in suspense, intrigued by this couple in the making (or not).

EDITOR'S RATING: 3/5

“Dash & Lily”

, American series by Joe Tracz, with Austin Abrams, Midori Francis, Dante Brown… 8 episodes of 26 minutes.

"Love & anarchy": funny

From Sweden, we mainly know detective series.

But the Scandinavian kingdom also knows how to use humor and lightness.

Good surprise with this "Love and anarchy", which ranked, a few days after the release of its first season (November 4), in the top 10 of the most watched programs on the platform.

We are here in the beautiful city of Stockholm.

Sofie, well in all respects, married, two children, is a consultant, and is entrusted with the mission of rectifying the accounts of a publishing house.

Everything changes when the thirty-something, cold and haughty, is surprised in a delicate situation by Max, a young employee.

Start between them a game of mutual challenges, which they take a liking to and which will shake up their daily lives.

The funny situations follow one another.

It lacks a touch of madness and the scenes are sometimes caricatured, but this saga brings a nice breeze of freshness from the North.

EDITOR'S RATING: 3/5

"Love & anarchy"

, Swedish series by Lisa Langseth, with Ida Engvoll, Björn Mosten… 8 episodes of 30 minutes.

"Independence Day" and "Independence Day: Resurgence": entertaining

What have they, these aliens, always wanting to invade us?

In "Independence Day", which dates from 1996, a gigantic flying saucer pulverizes the White House.

Fortunately, Uncle Sam, and especially its president, are there.

And the response arrives on July 4, right on the American National Day.

Maximum special effects and minimum scenario for this Hollywood blockbuster to consume while eating popcorn, which perfectly fulfills its mission: to entertain.

Tenacious, the extraterrestrials try a new offensive, told later, broadcast twenty years later, "Independence Day: Resurgence".

A show that is still as complete as ever, wrapped in incredible special effects.

EDITOR'S RATING: 4/5

“Independence Day”

, by Roland Emmerich (1996), with Will Smith, Bill Pullman, Jeff Goldblum… 2h25

EDITOR'S RATING: 3/5

“Independence Day: Resurgence”

MYCANAL

"This Way up": bittersweet

Aine is a young woman teacher of English for foreigners.

She has just come out of a rest center after a nervous breakdown and seeks comfort from her older sister.

Despite his good humor, his impertinence and his sarcasm, Aine still suffers from a deep fragility.

This dramatic comedy plays perfectly on her dark British humor and is backed by a superb cast: Aisling Bea, creator of the series, also plays her heroine, Sharon Horgan ("Catastrophe") plays her big sister, Chris Geere ("You ' re The Worst ”) his ex, and Tobias Menzies (“ The Crown ”,“ Outlander ”) his new employer.

EDITOR'S RATING: 4/5

“This Way up”

, American series by Aisling Bea, with Aisling Bea, Sharon Horgan, Tobias Menzies… 6 episodes of 30 minutes.
