Former British generals have criticized the military salute given by Queen actress Olivia Colman on the Netflix series "The Crown" as too slack.

"The slackly angled hand would drive any respectable sergeant crazy," said ex-general Richard Dannatt, according to the Times.

"He would scream," Queen, Madame, that is not enough!

Stretch out your hand and be proud of your troops! "" For the real Queen Elizabeth, 94, who herself served in the army, the salute was very different, added ex-commander Richard Kemp.

The criticized royal greeting can be seen in the trailer for the fourth season of the series "The Crown", which appears on Netflix on November 15.

The greeting scene shows Colman, 46, who played the Queen the previous season, during an air parade of the armed forces.

The series tries hard to depict the history of the Royals and the United Kingdom as closely as possible to reality.

There was initially no statement from Netflix about the allegations.
