(ANSA) - ROME, NOVEMBER 16 - The administrations of the Mezzogiorno that hold roles of coordination, management and use of cohesion funds will be able to recruit on a fixed-term basis and at the expense of the same European structural funds of personnel who will be selected through a competition.

This can be read in the latest draft of the maneuver, which specifies that recruitments can reach 2,800 and that the regions concerned are Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily.

The maximum authorized expenditure is 126 million per year for the three-year period 2021-2023.

"Strengthening administrative capacity - it is specified in the explanatory report in the article - is a crucial element of the efficient and effective use of the cohesion policy funds".

    To promote the economy of the southern regions, the tax credit for investments is also extended by two years, 2021 and 2022.

The relief is 25% for large companies which employ at least 250 people, whose annual turnover is at least € 50 million or whose balance sheet total is at least € 43 million;

35% for medium-sized enterprises, which employ at least 50 people and generate an annual turnover of at least 10 million euros;

and 45% for small businesses that employ fewer than 50 people and achieve an annual turnover or annual balance sheet total not exceeding 10 million euros.

The extension was one of the measures announced as early as the October CDM, but only for 2021. (ANSA).
