At that time,
Terzini's
grandparents
founded
the first farm that still focused on the fruit and vegetable business.
In 2009, the head of the family, Domenico Terzini, finally decided to convert the business near the village of Tocco da Casauria into a
winery
- and thus promote the development from a profession to a calling.
The sole reason for this decision was the high
quality of their own grapes
: Located in the hilly Italian region of Abruzzo, the family's growing area has excellent climatic conditions with lots of sun, beneficial temperatures and constant wind - perfect conditions for quality wine from the
heart of Italy
.

In the last days of September or first days of October, the grapes are picked manually.
Then the grapes are brought to the winery in boxes weighing 15 kilograms, where they are gently pressed.
The maceration is extended for at least 20 days, an important step in the
pressing of fine wines
.
The
Terzini Montepulciano d'Abruzzo
has received numerous awards, including 83 out of 100 points at the
Decanter World Wine Awards

Montepulciano has
an intense ruby red with slightly purple reflections.
