Jérôme Salomon, Director General of Health, assured that "the number of cases in France remains particularly high".

Regarding nursing homes, more than 1,600 establishments are affected by the epidemic, adds Brigitte Bourguignon, Minister Delegate in charge of Autonomy, i.e. More than one in five establishments.
"The president said it was hard to be 20 in 2020. It is also hard to be four times 20 in 2020," she commented.
On average, 163 deaths are to be deplored on average in nursing homes.
Nationally, the latest epidemiological report shows 436 deaths recorded since Wednesday.
Since the start of the epidemic, health authorities have identified 47,134 people who have died from the disease.

For several days, the executive has been hammering out calls for vigilance, inviting the French to monitor certain signals, such as loss of appetite or sleep disorders.
Every day, nearly 20,000 calls reach the dedicated assistance cell, the minister said.
