"We are slowly seeing that entire industries inside and outside of their organizations are looking for super-recognizers so that they can work in special positions in which faces have to be identified," says the Australian psychologist James Dunn on the career portal BusinessInsider.

The scientist from the University of New South Wales in Sydney is co-author of a study on the topic of super-recognizers.
In Germany, super recognizers are also used at Oktoberfest.

genetic
and inheritable.
Experience with certain faces also helps super-recognizers with recognition.
"In a new study, a woman who works with babies in the hospital was able to recognize baby faces better than other super-recognizers," Davis told Tagesspiegel.
Beyond facial recognition, however, the recognition specialists should not have a better memory.

Online test for Super Recognizer: Most of them only solve 60 percent of all tasks

The scientists in the super-recognizer study have developed an online test.
However, it should have it all.
“Most of them achieve around 50 or 60 percent,” reveals the Australian study author.
According to Dunn,
only those who
achieve
values of 70 percent and more
in the test
can call themselves Super Recognizers.
Of the 31,000 test subjects who have taken part so far, none of them has reached the 100 percent mark.
According to Dunn, the maximum value should be 97 percent.
