Covid-19 in France: 386 deaths in 24 hours

The latest report unveiled this Friday by Public Health France confirms the drop in the number of patients admitted to intensive care.


Within the government, all eyes are on the figures of the evolution of the epidemic.

And for good reason: it is the improvement observed in recent days which will justify the announcements expected Tuesday evening from the President of the Republic, who should announce a reduction in restrictive measures.

This improvement is confirmed this Friday.

According to the latest daily report by Public Health France, the number of patients admitted to intensive care units continues to decline.

However, 264 new patients presented a sufficiently worrying state of health to be admitted.

4566 patients were identified in total Friday by the health authorities in these specialized services, against 4653 Thursday.

47,520 dead since the start of the epidemic

In total, 31,875 patients remain hospitalized for contamination with the new coronavirus.

In the last 24 hours, 1968 new admissions have been recorded in French hospitals.

Regarding deaths, 386 people lost their lives from covid-19 over the same period, up from 436 on Thursday.

The total number of deaths recorded since the start of the epidemic now stands at 47,520.
