(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 22 - Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced today that the vaccination campaign against Covid-19 will start in January and will have 13,000 administration points throughout the country.

El Pais writes it in its online edition.

"A very large part of the population will be able to be vaccinated with all the guarantees in the first half of the year", explained Sanchez after the G20 Summit.

The Interritorial Council will decide on a single strategy for the whole country and will give priority to the access of "priority groups".

This Tuesday the plan will be presented to the Council of Ministers.

Sanchez said the accumulated incidence is less than 400 infections per 100,000 population in the past 14 days, less than two weeks ago but still "very high".

Regarding Christmas, the president acknowledged that they will be "different" holidays and believes it "necessary" to develop common recommendations for all communities.
