(ANSA) - LONDON, NOVEMBER 23 - The national bisanti-coronavirus lockdown, imposed in England since early November to counter the second wave of infections, will expire as expected on December 2, but will be replaced by an overall strengthened scheme of partial local-graduate territorial restrictions by territory depending on the data - compared to the previous period.

This was reported by the BBC, anticipating the announcement of Prime Minister Boris Johnson scheduled today in a video link with the House of Commons, which in any case outlines a lightening of the scenario, with ok to the reopening of non-essential shops and gyms (if the distancing between people and the obligatory use is guaranteed of the mask indoors), as well as restaurants and pubs: the latter with the reinstatement of the curfew at 10pm in effect in October as the cut-off time for the last orders, but with the right to postpone closing to 11pm to allow customers to consume what has already been ordered.

The new rules will accompany the United Kingdom until the Christmas period: a period for which the Johnson government yesterday agreed with the local ones of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland an ad hoc scheme valid for the whole of the United Kingdom which should provide for a further relaxation limited to 5 public holidays in which family contacts will once again be authorized between non-cohabiting households.

Although with a ceiling of people and the clarification of various ministers that in any case "it will not be a completely normal Christmas".
