In many countries around the world, including Israel, exercising fitness and maintaining a healthy lifestyle occupy a significant part of daily life.

On the other hand, there is a country with a large proportion of thin people, even though they do not often engage in fitness development.

The reference is of course to Japan, where surveys conducted show that people aged 60-20 train once a month.

And so, the question arises: how do the Japanese manage to do this?

This question is addressed by the Japanese-American blogger, Kaki Okumura, who wondered what exactly the secret is.

An in-depth examination of it and also found that although the Japanese rarely do fitness, they perform regular daily activities that make sports activities superfluous.

The intention is to walk.

In fact, the Japanese go a great deal and that is a built-in part of their culture.

Japanese between the ages of 50-20 walk an average of 6500 steps every day.

Japanese cities also allow this walking very much as there is very good public transportation that does not require any private vehicles at all.

This fact is also reflected in the fact that most households in Japan, unlike in the West, do not have private vehicles at all.

And so, it happens that people go shopping on foot, as well as go from work to the train or bus.

This walk replaces the need for running, weightlifting and gyms and training of various kinds.

The great advantage of this method is that the effort that goes into walking, once it is a cultural act, is almost imperceptible, and there is no need to engage in strenuous training part of the week to lose the weight we ate in high-carb foods.

The Japanese do not in this respect experience the circles of guilt and shame of weight loss and gain in the form of waves, but constantly maintain the same routine of life that burns a lot of calories without addressing it at all.

The blogger herself writes that this does not underestimate the sports culture and gyms in the West.

However, the conclusion is that in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle, enjoy eating and stay lean, one does not necessarily need concentrated and hard efforts several times throughout the week, one should just walk every day and a lot.
