(Listeria monocytogenes) have been found in

three Brie varieties during routine checks

.

A common cause of callbacks.

Nevertheless, these dangerous

bacteria

can have dire consequences if consumed.

That's why the manufacturer is now calling the cheese back.

Cheese recall at Aldi, Lidl and Co .: Three types are affected

Three different types of Brie

are affected by the current recall

:

  • Original French Brie "Roi de Trèfle"

  • Le Brie "Chêne d'argent"

  • French Brie "Every day"

However, not all products from these types of cheese are contaminated.

According to the averaging, only the cheese variants mentioned with the following best-before dates and batch numbers are affected: 12/11/2020 (304 AD), 12/12/2020 (304 BD), 12/12/2020 (305 AD) and 12/15/2020 (305 DD).

Products with different best before dates are therefore not affected by the recall.

The recall attracts particular attention, as the cheese types have apparently been sold in several supermarkets across Germany.

Consumers who have bought one of the products are asked by the manufacturer not to eat it.

You can return it at the point of sale.

The purchase price will be refunded even without a receipt.

can cause serious health consequences.

can, according to the Bavarian State Office for Health and Food Safety

flu-like symptoms such as fever, muscle aches and diarrhea and vomiting

cause

.

For this reason, the company expressly writes: "Consumers who have consumed one of the above products and suffer from the symptoms described are asked

to consult their doctor immediately

and to indicate the consumption of the contaminated product as well as the place and date of purchase".
