Despite Corona: The starting salaries of graduates born in 2020/21 are impressive.

However, there are major differences, as a study shows.

If you want to earn well when you start your career, you should study medicine * or get a master’s degree in industrial engineering.

This was the result of a large study by the Stepstone job exchange.

Starting salary: Master's degree brings more wages

For its current salary report, the job portal evaluated more than 13,000 salary data from young professionals.

The result was that graduates earn

an average of 45,400 euros gross per year

when they start

.

But the degree has a major impact on how high the starting salary actually is.

According to the study, master's graduates get on with

around 5,200 euros per year

more than graduates with a bachelor's degree.

A master’s course usually lasts one to two years.

This gives students the opportunity to further specialize.
