Five Portuguese citizens, aged between 8 and 21, have appealed to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) against Italy and 32 other member states of the Council of Europe accusing them of violating their rights because they do not respect the commitments undertaken with the signing of the 2015 Paris Agreement, Cop21.
This was announced by the Court itself, which by accepting to deal with the case as a matter of priority, communicated it to the governments involved, starting the trial phase.
