More and more cases of distributors for infecting dozens, hundreds and even more people in Corona, just by their very presence at a single event, are filling the network.

We reported just this month on a wedding and funeral with dozens infected, and even dead, from the disease.

In fact, accumulating evidence shows that super-distributors are entirely part of the hallmarks of the corona plague.

A number of studies in recent months have shown that most people with the virus do not infect many other people, while a small number of people actually do spread the virus to a large number of their contacts.

In extreme cases, a single sick person can spread the disease to dozens of people in one event.

However, it is still unclear what makes some people super distributors.

Written and erased: Are they trying to hide from us how Corona is transmitted?

In a new study published in the journal Physics of Fluids, researchers at the University of Central Florida (UCF) identified several characteristics that appear to cause people to be super-distributors of viral infections, including covid-19.

The researchers used three-dimensional models and computer simulations to show that the sneezes of people who have a stuffy nose and all the teeth in their mouth (!) Travel a distance of about 60 percent more than those who do not.

The researchers argue that this could be an important insight into why some people seem to transmit more respiratory infections than others.

Here's the explanation: "We show that the human body has influences, such as a complex tubular system related to nasal airflow, that actually disrupts the jet formed in the mouth from sneezing and prevents it from dispersing droplets over long distances," said Michael Kinzel, co-author of research at UCF Mechanical Engineering. .

"Teeth create a reduction effect in the jet, making it stronger and more turbulent," Kinzel explained.

"If you see someone without teeth, you can really expect a weaker jet from sneezing from them."

Other pieces of research - some of which were done before the corona even appeared - considered this question of what causes some people to be more contagious than others.

An experiment conducted at the University of Pennsylvania was able to demonstrate that during normal speech tiny spray droplets are released into the air that linger in space for long minutes and have the potential to infect the virus.

And the louder you speak, the more you emit from them.

However they have found that some people simply produce more aerosols than others, even when they speak the same volume.

In any case, hundreds of cases of COVID-19 in January-April found that 70 percent of patients did not infect others and most of the incidents occurred because of super-distributors.

The definition of a super-distributor can vary from virus to virus, because the number of infected people infected by one patient is different - for example, in 2002, with the outbreak of the SARS virus in China, a person had to infect at least eight people to be considered a super-distributor.

Other studies have suggested that some infected people may have a higher viral load on their body and shed more of the virus.

This means that the saliva and their aerosols probably contain a higher concentration of viral particles, making the same person more contagious to others.

While some scientists have suggested that this is an important and interesting idea, it remains relatively unclear and there is still a lot of uncertainty about it.

Crucially, the environment is also an important factor in creating a spreading event.

Simply put, a closed and ventilated room is bad and full of people nearby, especially dangerous from an outdoor meeting where everyone maintains a distance of at least 2 meters and wears a face mask.

It is also known that environments with brighter UV light, higher temperatures and higher humidity levels reduce the survival rate of the Covid-19 virus in air and surfaces, and reduce the risk of people spreading the infection further.
