(ANSA) - ROME, 01 DEC - The emergency dictated by the pandemic from Covid-10 must not "lead to reducing the time required for experimentation, which are indispensable on a scientific, bioethical and bio-juridical level, to guarantee the quality and protection of the participants".

This is the thought of the National Dibioethics Committee (CNB), contained in the opinion "Vaccines and Covid-19: ethical aspects for research, cost and distribution" just published.

The Committee wants to propose "a reflection on vaccines with particular reference to research, production and distribution, starting from the awareness of the conditions of scientific and epidemiological uncertainty on the virus".

For the anti-Covid vaccine to be accepted by citizens, according to the document, it is essential "transparent, clear, understandable, consistent and consistent information and communication, based on scientific data that is always updated" and to identify "the sources of disinformation and false information".

CNB also warns pharmaceutical companies to recognize "their social responsibility in this serious pandemic condition" for the production and distribution of the vaccine.
