(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 1 - The ECB "is not obliged" to do what the markets expect.
This was indicated by Isabel Schnabel, a member of the executive committee of the ECB, in an interview with Bloomberg.
The ECB exponent explained that "it is appropriate to maintain current measures rather than further loosening them, but if something needs to be done that will not meet market expectations, it will have to be done".
