Omar Adam is the most played artist in Israel in the past year, according to the play data of the popular streaming service Spotify, published yesterday.

This is a summary of the playbacks of the year 2020 among the users of the Spotify service in Israel.

Eyal Golan came second on the list of the most played artists in Israel, according to Spotify.

Next on the list (in descending order) are Eden Hasson, Yishai Ribo and Idan Raichel.

The top five are all manned by men, though this category features the most played artists in the country, with no gender division.

If you want to know who are the most heard women in the country, Spotify also allows such segmentation.

In first place is 18-year-old American musician Billy Aylish.

It is followed by Noa Kirl in second place, Ariana Grande in third, Eden Ben-Zaken in fourth and Doa Lipa in fifth.

The list of the most played songs among Spotify users in Israel is led by the song "Blinding Lights", the weekend's eighties dance hit.

Immediately after him on the list stars Australian singer Tunes & A's "Dance Monkey", which came out in May 2019 and seems to have maintained its power this year as well.

In third place is the song "World Champion" by Hanan Ben Ari, followed by the first five songs "Journey" by Eliad and the duet by Natan Goshen and Yishai Ribo "We will wait for you".

According to the data, it seems that there is still no need to hurry to eulogize the concept of the full album.

This category, too, of the most played albums, was conquered by Omer Adam with his album "Omer", which was released on the first day of 2020. Next on the list is Eden Hasson's album "Let Someone Stop Me", and in third place came "I Came to Dream" by Natan Goshen.

The last two albums in the top five most played in Israel are by international artists: De Weekend's After Hours is in fourth place, followed by Billy Aylish's debut album, "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We? Go" which was released last year.

The Israeli audience, it turns out, listened to many podcasts in 2020.

At the top of the list of podcasts played is "Pocket Animals", the economic podcast of the "Here" broadcasting corporation presented by Shaul Amsterdamsky, Tzlil Avraham and Dana Frank.

In second place is "One Song", also by "Here", which explores in each episode the roots of one iconic song in the Israeli pantheon of art.

In third place on the list of podcasts played is the psychology podcast "Thinking Well" by Yehudit Katz.

In fourth place: "A Brief History of Mankind", the radio version of a course taught by Prof. Yuval Noah Harari at the Hebrew University.

The quintet is signed by the economic podcast "Money Engines" of "Calcalist", which reviews the changes in the world of finance.
